Martin Fairlie, Director, has over 25 years' experience in land development with UK Consulting Engineers. He is a Chartered Civil Engineer and a Member of the Institution of Civil Engineers with a Masters Degree from Imperial College, London, in Soil Mechanics and Engineering Seismology.
In 1984 Martin set up and led Allot & Lomax's (now part of Jacobs) geo-environmental contaminated land team in Manchester. From 1993 as Divisional Director he led the UK geo-environmental team at DHV Burrow Crocker (then re-named Aspen Burrow Crocker, and subsequently Waterman Group) based in Solihull. From 2005 he was Land Development Market Sector Leader at Golder Associates, set up their new Oxford Office and led their UK team of multi-disciplinary specialists with contaminated land and land development skills, and finally in 2007 he was appointed as an Associate Director and led Arup's 70 strong team of environmental geotechnics / contaminated land specialists in Europe.
